Nestled comfortably between Interstates 580 and 680 in San Francisco's East Bay region, stands Dublin, CA's, newest reading room. Opened in April 2003, The Dublin Civic Center Library, adjacent to the existing City Hall, is a contemporary 38,000 sq ft facility that improves the civic presence within the community. Built by the City of Dublin (though it remains a branch of the Alameda County Library System) and designed by BSA Architects in San Francisco, the library houses adult, young adult, reference and children's collections. Other services and programs include a new $1.3 million collection including books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and videos; audio books on CD and cassette; an international language collection; computer software; and 40 Internet stations throughout the facility. In addition, the building has a library program room and a public community room as well as individual and group study rooms.
