PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return a sum of money corresponding to a copyright rental fee related to a copied memory medium to an author of a literary work, to prevent copying of a literary work without permission, and to protect the copyright of the author of the literary work.;SOLUTION: This literary work copying management system is provided with an original recording medium 1 recording literary works and having a literary work protecting function, an non-recorded memory medium 2 to be circulated at a price decided by adding a copyright rental fee to a main body price, a literary work copying device 3 having a literary work protecting release function for copying a literary work from the recording medium 1 to the memory medium 2 and a function for generating copy management information D1, and a literary work copying managing device 4 for managing distribution of the literary work copyright rental fee on the basis of the copying management information D1 obtained from the device 3. The device 4, to which account information D2 related to the copyright rental fee added to the memory medium 2 is input, distributes the copyright rental fee based on the account information D2 between authors of literary work on the basis of the copying management information D1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
