There have been so many DOE workshops on LEDs that they seem to be running out of applications. As I was sitting in the Solid State Lighting for Shoelace Manufacturers session, the redundancy finally got to me and I fell asleep. When I woke up it was 2020. My first clue that something had changed was the lighting in the hotel meeting room. The wall sconces appeared flat to the wall. I had not noticed this earlier. Were these OLED or Graphene material? I turned to the guy sitting next to me and asked him if he knew. He responded by questioning where I was when the Graphene marketing machine destroyed OLEDs for architectural lighting with its campaign against Indium Tin Oxide, the organic component in OLEDs.
