中学生を対象とした映像表現学習のプログラム開発

This study aims at the development of a program that teaches visual expression to junior high school students. The program is composed of three stages: (1)pre-production (learning of script writing and visual grammar), (2) production (filming), and (3) post-production (editing and presentation). After a four-year empirical trial, the program was improved based on an assessment by visual expression specialists. It was suggested, during the program improvement process, that it is necessary to include the following components in the learning of visual expression: in the pre-production stage, video teaching aids to promote the understanding of visual grammar, and "filming experience"; in the production stage, the "use of consumer cameras" for improvement in student mastery of operational skills; and in the post-production stage, "editing experience" to deepen the understanding of intercut continuity. In the 4th year evaluation of the program conducted by the four-year trial participants, the components of the developed program received high commendation.%本研究の目的は、中学生を対象にした映像表現を学ぶプログラムの開発である。本研究で開発したプログラムは、Pre-Production(脚本づくり、映像文法の学習)、Production(撮影など)、Post-Production(編集、発表会)の3段階で構成されている。4年間のプログラム実践を行い、映像表現の専門家の評価に基づいてプログラムを改善した。このプログラム改善の過程において、映像表現学習には、Pre-Productionでの映像文法の理解を促すビデオ教材と「撮影体験」、Productionでは中学生の操作習熟度向上のための「民生用カメラの使用」、Post-Productionにおけるカット間の連続性などの理解を深める「編集体験」を構成要素として含めることが必要であることが示唆された。4年目に参加者によるプログラム評価を行った結果、開発したプログラムの諸要素は高く評価された。
