ARLG in Brighton, UK 2014. Academic libraries: the final frontier

The Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals hosts the Academic Research Library Group (ARLG) Conference. This group is divided in to regional and national chapters, and organizes a study conference every two years. This group was formed in 2012 as an amalgamation of the Consortium of Financing Higher Education and the University, College & Research Group and is currently chaired by Anne Rowlands, Library Manager at Regent's University, London. The second ARLG Study Conference was held in Brighton by the University of Sussex from the 23rd-25th of June 2014. Their first conference, held in Newcastle in 2012, was exciting and innovative, with fast-paced Twitter conversations throughout. It also featured the unusual use of Lego© in the Serious Play© methodology for one of the sessions, and I was excited to see how they would build on the high standards set that year.
