Concerning the article 'Ital- ian Debate' in the Letters page of your March 2000 issue: I would like to comment on Mr James Boston's response concerning trade with Italy. I have been in the trade - not only in wet-blue hides, but also in raw hides and skins as well as crust and finished leathers - for over 60 years (having started work in the hide warehouse of Elias Moos in Buenos Aires at the age of 11 years in 1937; the first years only during my school hol.-iday periods).
