What goes up must come down. Our last report told how prices had risen; they peaked shortly afterwards and started to ease as the trade began to gather along the Pacific Rim for APLF in Hong Kong. Cows managed to hang on, maintaining steady levels following gains over the previous month or so. Plump, branded cows traded in and around $46-48 C&F through most of March, and Holstein dairy cows at $67-70 C&F. Steers, however, were a different story entirely.
