I will always remember the autumn of 2009 as a season rich with encounters and celebrations of the lives and contributions of great thought leaders in our country and around the world. It all began, as it often does, with an event inspired by Peter Drucker. On October 14, people came from all over the world to celebrate the 100th birthday of "the man who invented modern management" (according to a 2005 cover story in Business Week) at the Drucker Graduate School CEO Forum led by A.G. Lafley. All of us shared the significance of our moments with Peter, as students, faculty, and leaders in all three sectors.
