The world has gone crazy over innovation. Business journals and financial media outlets routinely offer new strategies for getting the inside track on creativity and innovation. Better mousetraps are profiled on everything: nanotechnology, logistical prowess, social marketing, you name it. The bottom line, and clear message today, is that innovation is the pathway to prosperity for individual companies and the economy at large. In short, all organizations must work smarter and be more imaginative and entrepreneurial if they want to be ahead of the curve. To occur, however, innovations need leadership and an environment conducive to change and adaptation.
