Recently, I found myself quoting a line I could not place: "Work is love made visible." This is a belief I hold dear to my heart, yet the origins of this quote escape me. A friend of mine, John Cimino, president and CEO of Creative Leaps International, shared with us at a great meeting Kahlil Gibran's poem "On Work," from Gibran's classic 1923 book The Prophet, which includes this line. Gibran goes on to write: In keeping yourself with labour you are in truth loving life, And to love life through labour is to be intimate with life's inmost secret.
