Satellite broadband provider Hughes Network Systems LLC has announced that its Brazil-based operating division, Hughes do Brasil, would commence services on the Ku-band capacity on Intelsat s Galaxy-28 satellite in order to address the increasing demand for HughesNet broadband services throughout Latin America. According to Delio Morais, president of Hughes do Brasil, the Galaxy-28 satellite would provide the company with the required capacity to address the ever-increasing demand for broadband Internet in Brazil and other countries in the region. Hughes would use the capacity on the G-28 satellite to provide its customers with its world-class solutions and services, including managed corporate networks, MPLS network-backup, distance learning networks, IPTV solutions, and high-speed Internet.
