Telecom Argentina Q1 net profit jumps 17 percent

Incumbent operator Telecom Argentina announced its results for the three months ended March 31, 2010, reporting a 17 percent year-on-year rise in net profit to ARS411 million (US$105 million), beating market expectations. Consolidated net sales totaled ARS3.25 billion in the first quarter of 2010, up 15 percent from ARS2.83 billion recorded in the same period a year earlier.
