Chile's largest wireless operator by subscribers Entel Chile, plans to reach 90% coverage with its LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) network by the end of 2016 and will cover a total of ten regions, according to a report by Pulso. The total expenditure for Entel will reach USD80.5 million in 2016, with the operator extending its LTE-A service to the Biobio region, Coquimbo, Maule, La Araucania and Los Lagos, following network deployment in Santiago, Valparaiso, Tarapaca, O'Higgins and Antofagasta earlier this year. The firm has so far spent USD57 million on its deployment in the six initial regions, while the further expansion of four additional regions will cost USD23.5 million.
