In the world of Indian hand block-printed textiles, French-born Brigitte Singh reigns supreme. This tribute is long overdue.Singh arrived in India over three decades ago to study miniature painting in Jaipur, near the block-printing centre of Sanganer. However, a change of direction, and marriage to a Rajput aristocrat, set a path to the creation in the 1990s of her current beautiful haveli and renowned textile printing workshop in the shadow of Amber Fort.
