This paper focuses on the problem of robust model predictive tracking control for the flexible air breathing hypersonic flight vehicle in the presence of state, actuator constraints and input delays. Constraints, as well as input time delays, are the highly challenging problems in the design of flight control system. Based on linear parameter varying (LPV) model obtained by Tensor-Product model transformation technology, a novel parameter dependent robust model predictive control (PD-RMPC) algorithm with explicit time-delay compensation is presented. Since developing the robust tracking controller with delay compensation, the proposed method is much less conservative and better performance. Finally, the numerical simulation results prove availability of the proposed method. (C) 2016 The Franklin Institute. Published by Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
