摘要

We use panel data of 30 Chinese provincial areas from 2000 to 2015, using the technological innovation as threshold variable, to build a panel threshold model. The result shows that technological innovation will impact the carbon emission reducing effect of environmental regulation. When technological innovation becomes high, the carbon emission reduction effect of environmental regulation increases. As a result, various factors such as technological innovation should be considered when environmental policy is formulated, so that environmental regulation can be more targeted.
