John N. R. Jeffers, 1926-2011

John Jeffers, who died on November 28th, 2011, aged 85 years, was among the world's foremost statistician-biometricians in the field of forest and environmental sciences, making many substantial international contributions in these fields through his professionalism, vision, leadership and publications. He was a career-long Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Foresters and the Institute of Biology and the Royal Statistical Society.
