The latest in a series of pictorial works, originated by the author, presenting images of lines and stations at around or after their closure, many in colour, and in this volume many by Nick Catford. Kent has a smaller percentage of abandoned to open lines than many counties, and those depicted here are often the more lightly built ones which left little lasting mark on the landscape - many sites have deteriorated more since the photographs here were taken. This is a series of slightly melancholic nostalgia, of special interest to those who like exploring old railways.
