Nuclear Forensics Education for Policy Students and Diplomats

This paper describes two nuclear forensic courses: a semester-length course used for policy students in a master’s degreeprogram in Nonproliferation and Terrorism at the Middlebury Instituteof International Studies in Monterey, California; and a potentialweekend program derived from the semester-long course.In discussing the courses, the article considers how to providebasic nuclear education to policy students and diplomats. Courseoverviews and syllabi are outlined, as are recommendations for atextbook and reading assignments.
