REPORT ON THE 2ND LATIN AMERICAN SYMPOSIUM ON TENSION STRUCTURES

The folded concrete slabs that cover the "Carlos Raul Villanueva" Auditorium in the Architecture and Urban Sciences Faculty seemed to float empathetically with the weightlessness of tension structures. Revealed by some, discovered by others, and enjoyed by everyone who, between May 4 and 6, 2005, had gathered together beneath these structures to share their magic. These structures have a privileged place in contemporary architecture and engineering.
