Broadband: Telecom Italia Experiences and Future Developments

Telecom Italia is meeting the challenge of demand for broadband services on a wide front. This article reviews the systems and the range of services already on offer to business and residential customers, and in the process of development. Extensive use is made of both the copper and the optical-fibre networks.
