ES: What are the main themes of this year's Congress?AV: One of the themes of the Congress, being held as it is in MediaCityUK, Salford - right in the heart of the country's TV production and research area - embraces the ways that TV is produced and transported over fixed and mobile networks and the ways it is viewed. NL: The focus of the Congress is trie delivery and consumption of digital media in all its forms. All of the evidence suggests that our thirst for digital media continues to grow and this places enormous demands on both fixed and mobile network providers to ensure such services can continue to be delivered. Similarly, for content producers, the move to online, and specifically IP based, applications require new approaches and opens new opportunities. Bringing these two industries together - telecommunications and broadcasting - therefore provides an ideal opportunity for us to share experiences and discuss solutions to the challenges we face.
