The Smooth Connection Between Adjacent Bicubic T-B Spline Surfaces

The explicit expression of cubic T-B spline curve is presented based on the calculation of T-B spline basis. Further more, the expression of bicubic T-B spline surfaces in tensor product form is derived by using the result. According to the smooth connection theory of G~0, G~1, G~2 continuity between surfaces, the smooth connect conditions between adjacent bicubic T-B spline surfaces arc given and the inter-relationships between the control points matrixes in three cases are discussed. Thus, we obtain the smooth connect algorithm of G~0, G~1, G~2 continuity between adjacent bicubic T-B spline surfaces in this paper.
