摘要

As Protein-protein Interaction (PPI) datasets are available, predicting protein complexes from PPI networks becomes a considerable research topic, which can help us to further understand the principles of the cellular organization and their function. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm to identify the protein complexes based on the topological information of the PPI networks. The performance of our method is evaluated experimentally, and its accuracy has been improved comparing with many peer methods using the experiment-derived protein complexes.We also analyze the optimization of parameters for the number, scale and improving the accuracy of prediction. Finally, our method is proved to efficiently predict the protein complexes with high biological significance by the GO annotations.
