摘要

In this paper, a Distortion-guaranteed Energy Saving (D_GES) power allocation scheme is proposed for multiuser video transmission. The multiuser downlink Orthogonal Frequency-division Multiple-access (OFDMA) system is adopted and the video streaming distortion model is developed based on power-rate-distortion (P-R-D) optimization. We design a power allocation scheme which not only aims to utilize transmission energy but also guarantees the distortion requirements for video streaming. Furthermore, the Constrained Particle Swarm Optimization (CPSO) is used to solve the target problem. Comparing with the traditional power allocation policy, simulations results show that the proposed algorithm not only saves the system energy significantly but also guarantees the video streaming quality.
