Blockage Localization Research of Coal Slurry Transportation Pipeline

Aiming at the problem of accurate localization when the coal slurry transportation pipeline blockage happens, the blockage localization principle based on transient positive-negative pressure wave method is analyzed. In the upstream and downstream, the pipeline blockage point will produce positive-negative pressure wave signal. The mutation detection method based on Wavelet Packet Preprocessing Empirical Mode Decomposition and Wavelet Transform Modulus maxima (WPEMD-WTM) is presented in this paper, then the time difference of the positive-negative pressure wave is confirmed, combined with the positive-negative pressure wave speed. Finally, the position of blockage point is confirmed, the effectiveness and accuracy is proved by experimental simulation. The blockage positioning error is less than 3%, meeting the engineering requirements.
