Although this is not the first major work on contested heritage and its tourism representation, this edited book is among the most geographically and thematically focused publications. The main audience of the book are students and academics from the fields of anthropology, sociology, heritage and tourism studies. It is also potentially of value to various tourism practitioners in tackling the sensitive issue of how to create tourism experiences in conflict-affected areas.
