During the past few months, there have been three major U.S. regulations passed, proposed or implemented that will impact the processed food industry for years. These are the recently introduced new Nutrition Facts label for food products, the new FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) and the long-awaited sodium reduction regulations.
