INVESTIGATION OF SOME BLOOD BIOCHEMICAL INDICES OF COWS OF BULGARIAN RHODOPE CATTLE BREED UNDER LOWLAND CONDITIONS

The seasonal status of some biochemical blood indices of the 12 cows of Bulgarian Rhodope cattle (BRC) breed and 4 cows of the Holstein cattle (HS) breed, breeding in lowland condition was obtained. Blood was taken from v. jugularis. Triglyceride, creatinine, aspartateaminotranspherase (ASAT), alanineaminotranspherase (ALAT), alkaline phosphatase (AF), laktatdehydrogenase (LDH) and cholinesterase (HE) values were measured by using examination tests of 'BIOMED' Co. It was established that the during the autumn-winter period, the investigated blood indices of cows changed. The season had a significant effect on HE (P＜0.05) and ASAT (P＜0.01) activity level. The established change in triglyceride values was associated with breed (P<0.05). The breed, physiological status (P<0.05), and age (P<0.01) had a statistically reliable effect on enzyme activity of LDH. During the autumn-winter period, the activity level of the AF in blood of cows was within the physiological norms. The above-mentioned facts has given us the reason to conclude that BRC possesses good enough adaptability for breeding in lowland conditions during the autumn-winter period.
