METHOD FOR ASSESSING THE REALIZED GENETIC PROGRESS ACCORDING TO MILK PRODUCTIVITY INDICES IN FAMILIES OF COWS OF DAIRY BREEDS

A method for assessing the realized genetic progress according to milk productivity indices in families of cows of dairy breeds relates to animal husbandry. The method consists in determination of the difference of the breeding value of the cows between the related generations correcting the effect on the reliability of assessing the duration of a generation interval (shortening thereof increases the breeding effectiveness) and the value of a genetic trend in a herd, a family or a population.
