摘要

The aim of the study is to examine environmentally oriented attitudes of consumers in research with New Environmental Paradigm while consuming organic food. This study was carried out with specific shops that sell organic foods in Ankara province of Cankaya and Yenimahalle districts. Questionnaire and benefited form were used to gather the data considering 'Proportional Sampling Method' at determining number of consumers. The data were collected through face to face interviews with 97 consumers in the shops. 'New Environmental Paradigm Scale' was used to determine consumers environmental sensitiveness for consuming organic food:It was also benefited from Likert scale. According to research findings, while health is very important factor at consuming organic foods, some part of consumers has bought organic foods by taking in consideration environmental factor. Also, it was determined that human-centered attitude level (2.63) is higher than environmental-centered attitude level (2.09). When consumers have generally been evaluated it has been found that environmental attitude of consumers is average 2.57. Namely, it was determined environmental sensitiveness of consumers who consume organic food was medium level. In other words, it can be concluded organic food consumers take into consideration other factors not environmental factors in their preference.
