Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. has consolidated its vertically structured organization in North America and has been stepping up what it called as planar marketing. The company plans to actively market its forte environment and energy-related products, including rechargeable batteries, solar cells and virus washers, in channels of audio-video (A/V) products and industrial equipment. In this interview with JEI, Masami "Sam" Murata, President of Sanyo North America Corp., which is a controlling company, describes the company's policies for FY2009.
