摘要

Occurrence of viable total heterotrophic bacteria (THB), total vibrios and luminescent vibrios in natural source (sea water) and spiny lobster (Panulirus homarus) rearing water showed that the population of THB, total vibrios and luminescent vibrios were relatively more in lobster rearing water than source water. Luminous bacterium, V. harveyi was dominantly isolated from the rearing water (1.0 x 10~2 CFU/ml). Antibiogram studies against the isolated Vibrio harveyi showed that the Trimethoprim (24mm), Streptomycin and Oxytetracycline (OCT) were effective against the bacteria. Probiotic treatment (with Bacillus sp 3 ppm) was proved as good method compared to the treatment of antibiotic and disinfectants for pathogenic bacteria.
