One of the less obvious outcomes of the UK referendum on EU membership in June 2016 has been to render obsolete many academic research studies on the workings of the Union being completed at the time. On the face of it, ProfessorTsoukalis's new book is one of them. However, the book's subtitle indicates that for future historians of this troubled institution, it may still have salience. In extremis, it will provide those who undertake the post-mortem with a vital tool.
