摘要

This paper proposes a novel concept for minimizing speed fluctuations in motor driven mechanisms. It devotes to the minimization of the speed fluctuation of, not the motor-shaft, but only the shaft of the input link of the mechanism. A set of non-circular gear drives with properly designed transmission functions is used to drive the mechanism. A method based on learning control theory is developed to design the transmission function of the non-circular gear drive. A cam-follower system driven by an electric motor is taken as an example to illustrate the procedure.
