摘要

This paper presents a Delphi-based survey on reforming the contests of basic and intermediate courses based on competence analysis for precision mold design and analysis engineering curricula in Taiwan. The Delphi technique provides a means for generating ideas and gathering comprehensive information from a wide variety of specialists in a given field of industry and academia. Unlike a "Professor-made engineering curriculum", two-thirds of the respondents were chosen from TMDIA (Taiwan Mold and Die Industry Association) for this study. The SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) software package was then employed, based on the 95% confidence interval, to analyze the feedback data from mold companies and academia. The results of analysis show that the importance of these proposed courses are imperative (M>1.64) to the precision mold industry. Only "Engineering Mathematics" was graded "unimportant" (M=1.61). The results provide an actionable insight for the development of precision mold design and analysis engineering curricula in Taiwan.
