摘要

We briefly describe five adaptive space mesh routines which were designed to provide accurate numerical approximations to the solutions of parabolic partial differential equations in one space dimension. Both static and dynamic regridding techniques are involved and, in terms of accuracy and cpu, we provide a brief comparison of the methods by applying them to approximate the solutions of two test problems. Further details are provided in [2].
