摘要

Ni-Zn ferrite has been considered as one of the highly important magnetic materials. Nanocrystalline Ni_(0.5)Zn_(0.5)Fe_2O_4 was prepared by dry and wet methods and was characterized by X-ray, thermo-gravimetric analysis (TGA) and DTA. The effect of firing temperature on the microstructure was correlated to the magnetic hysteresis. It was found that increasing temperature improved the magnetic properties of Ni_(0.5)Zn_(0.5)Fe_2O_4 ferrite and that samples prepared by wet method showed better magnetic properties at lower firing temperature than samples prepared by dry method and this was attributed to the relatively more chemically active oxides prepared by wet technique.
