Aldehyde-Terminated Self-Assembled Monolayers on Gold: Immobilization of Amines onto Gold Surfaces

摘要

The aldehyde-terminated SAM may prove useful for attaching enxymes and other receptor systems onto gold surfaces for sensor applications. The covalent attachment is both rapid and complete. Further work is being carried out to develop applications of this system.
