摘要

The study showed that transitional and closed cavity flows are highly dependent on the Mach number and the L/D ratio.rnFor the closed cavity case L/D = 18 the wedges placed at the leading edge reduced the adverse pressure gradient. The wedges placed at the trailing edge caused a favorable pressure gradient. These results were observed for all Mach numbers and all wedge angles. This is a very important observation for weapon release, because the reduction/elimination of the adverse pressure gradient reduces/eliminates the pitching up moments as well.
