Treatment of Chloasma by Combination of Acupuncture and Herbs

Purpose: To investigate the therapeutic effect of acupuncture and herbs in chloasma. Methods: Chloasma was divided into three patterns and treated by acupuncture plus oral administration and external application of Chinese herbs. Results: There was an obvious therapeutic effect in chloasma treated by combination of acupuncture and herbal drugs. After two courses of the treatments, the effective rate accounted for 93.3% in 45 cases. Conclusion: There was an obvious therapeutic effect in chloasma treated by combination of acupuncture and herbal drugs.
