Technological development of Shinkansen vehicles in East Japan Railway Company

摘要

The author introduced the results of the recent technological development of our company such as the "low noise pantograph" and the "Joint development of the bogie with Germany Railway", and the outline of the development concerning to our company's Shinkansen vehicle and environmental technologies in the near future. We consider advancing the research and development steadily in the near future so that more customers pleasantly use Shinkansen as one of the main developmental problems at the research and development centre of JR-East which established in December, 2001.
