摘要

East Japan Railway Company (JR East) developed a new system called the "network signaling system" with a goal of reducing workloads in signal cable laying and wiring, connection testing, and so on and also of preventing troubles caused by faulty construction work. Specifically, the "network signaling system for automatic block section between stations started its operation between Minami-Funabashi and Kaihimmakuhari stations in July 2013, while further implementation of the system is planned for the full 43 km section between Tokyo and Soga on the Keiyo Line. This paper describes an outline of this project and explains our efforts to implement the network signaling system for automatic block section between stations.
