Vanadium dioxide of B-phase [VO2(B)] has been considered as an ideal cathode material and storage materials, but was rarely treated as optical modulating coatings based on the metal-insulator transition. Here we deposited high quality epitaxial VO2(B) thin films on STO (100) substrates, measured the optical properties variation among cooling and heating (100-300 K), and discussed the modulating ability using fully reversible optical hysteresis loop. Our work provides a comprehensive scenario of the VO2(B) thin film in physical performance, and promotes the use of VO2 (B) thin film on dimming devices and optical signals in extremely low temperature environments.
