ADIK starts work on LCTs for Qatar

Turkish shipbuilder ADIK (Anadolu Deniz Insaat Kizaklari) cut the first steel on 21 October for the first of four new landing craft tank (LCT) vessels for the Qatari Navy. The ceremony follows the launch of Al Doha, the first of two training ships for Qatar, on 8 October. The new amphibious vessels will complement the large amphibious assault vessel Qatar ordered from Fincantieri Shipyard in June 2016.
