Fincantieri reveals missile systems for UAE corvettes

The Falaj 2 corvettes on order for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Naval Forces will be armed with MBDA's VL MICA point-defence missile system and Exocet MM40 Block 3 surface-to-surface missiles, according to Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri.rnA company executive told Jane's at DIMDEX in Qatar that each vessel will be equipped with up to eight Exocet missiles and six MICA vertical-launch cells (three on either side of the quarterdeck).
