US Army IFPC programme will absorb C-RAM in future budgets

The US Army's Indirect Fire Protection Capability (IFPC) programme to defend against the threat of indirect fire attacks will have its own line item status in the Fiscal Year 2010 (FY10) and future budget submissions, writes David C Isby.rnIt had previously received funding under multiple sources. The new programme will replace the multiple efforts that have previously been grouped under the overall heading of Counter-Rockets, Artillery and Mortars (C-RAM). The FY09 supplemental budget request sent to the US Congress in April included USD157 million for C-RAM.
