Fire rainbow: Cai Hong-4 armed UAV family expands its horizons

China Academy of Aerospace Aerodynamics (CAAA), a subsidiary of state-owned China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC), has outlined a range of modifications and new payloads aimed at improving the flight performance, endurance, and firepower of its strike-capable Cai Hong-4 (Rainbow 4, or CH-4) medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle (MALE UAV) to keep pace with evolving battlefield challenges.
