Elbit Systems launches UAV self-protection system

Israel's Elbit Systems has developed a self-protection electronic warfare system aimed specifically at the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) market. The system - dubbed Light SPEAR-was unveiled at the 2016 Farnborough International Air Show, and takes the form of a single-box receiver/processor combined with a pair of 4 kg wing pods that house a transceiver and fore and aft antenna arrays.
