SOF C41STAR: closing gaps for quiet professionals

Campaigns over the past decade have seen Special Operations Forces (SOF) rely heavily upon C4ISTAR technology as a critical element for pursuing high-value targets and defeating insurgent networks. Coalition operations involving SOF elements from across NATO and Non-NATO Entity (NNE) partners continue to place an emphasis on airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) to generate target packages (such as the Joint Prioritised Effects List [JPEL] used to great effect in Afghanistan); pattern-of-life mapping prior to an assau and security over-watch during a raid or extraction from an area of operation.
